Triangular Cooperation

Triangular Cooperation (CTr) is a type of mixed  international cooperation that combines traditional or vertical cooperation (North-South), with South-South Cooperation, with the aim to benefit a third developing country.

The purpose of this partnership mechanism is to share expert knowledge, experiences and/or resources between two countries in order to contribute to the National priorities of the recipient country and with the sustainable development goals, on the other hand the third party or member, provides capability and additional resources to broaden and invigorate the alliance.

 

APC-Colombia is interested in promoting that CTr which:

  • Aligns the interests  of involved parties.
  • Privileges recipient country demand which is based on national priorities.
  • Improves  comparative advantages of the members, in order to encourage learning.
  • Shares responsibilities and costs, according to the capabilities and resources of each part involved.
